Medicare Part B

What is Part B?

Medicare Part B is Medical Insurance:

  • Services from Doctors and other Health Care Providers

  • Outpatient Care

  • Home Healthcare

  • Durable Medical Equipment (like wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and other equipment)

  • Many Preventative Services

Medicare Part B has a monthly premium that Medicare beneficiaries pay when they enroll. Medicare Part B also has an annual deductible and coinsurance of 20%. Enrolling in Medicare Part B during an enrollment period is important in order to avoid a late enrollment penalty.

You can pay for your Part B in multiple ways, which includes by: credit card, directly from your checking/savings account, auto withdrawal using Medicare Easy Pay, or by mailing your payment to Medicare.
